Located on the outskirts of Pondicherry in the largest coastal village called Veerampattinam, Veerampattinam Beach has an extensive coastline and is counted among the most beautiful beaches of the tinsel town. Since the beach is little known, tourist inflow is minimum and the beach boasts of golden sands and pollution free environs. Most people visit the beach to sunbathe or rewind from the everyday routines. You can also see umpteen fishermen at work with their huge boats and nets. At all times of the day, these fishermen can be seen onboarding or returning from their fishing trips. Veerampattinam is popular among tourists looking to spend some moments of solitude on the sunkissed beach. The coastline is the lengthiest in all of Pondicherry and is ideal for long walks. The most popular festival celebrated at the beach is the temple car festival.
