A journey through the Sahara, From Marrakech to Timbuktu In recent years, the Tiskiwin Museum has focused on the presentation of the material culture of the Berber populations of Saharan origin. These populations are commonly called Berbers north of the Sahara and Tuaregs in the south, but they call themselves Imazighen (Amazigh sing) The permanent exhibition is conceived as a journey on the old caravan trails linking North Africa to the Sahel.
