This is so fun! Best time to go is so that you’re there near dusk. It takes an hour to drive up the mountain and 15 minute walk to the viewing tower. Need tennis shoes.

Go see the Elk 20 mins away! Go to Sundquist Wildlife Management Area and it's left then a right. I wouldn't go on rainy days or if you don't have a 4wd or all-wheel drive. A 2wd can make it I just would be careful.
