Go to the SPD market to get a sandwich for your day trip to the river. You won’t be disappointed! (My rec: Dutch crunch with SPD turkey and SPD cheddar, plus avocado… Yum!)

The closest good, all around grocery store. It also serves as a bit of a mercantile. It's locally owned and has been in business a long time.

SPD is a ;locally owned market. They have great produce, meat/seafood, as well as a deli. Chain store are not allowed in Nevada City. Great way to support local with a big selection.
