A moderately difficult hike - about 5 1/2 miles round trip - well worth the hike when you reach the 80 foot waterfall! You can also take this route to Mt LeConte. (about 4 more miles up - but much more difficult).

Trail is currently open Friday-Sunday. Temporarily closed Monday-Thursday excluding federal holidays. Trail is set to re-open on weekdays in Fall 2018.

Rainbow Falls Trail starts on the Roaring Fork Motor Nature Trail, about 10 min driving from the Gatlinburg’s Downtown. The waterfall is 2.7 miles away from the trailhead and is part of a 7 mile trail which takes you to the Mt Leconte.
