A lovely and accessible waterfall protected within a recreation area is perfect. Plus, they have done a great job in paving the pedestrian walks around the viewpoint are, making it more accessible for families with strollers or seniors with mobility issues. Granted, this is no Niagara Falls, but the Elbow River is big enough here, so that it is impressive when it squeezes through the rocky ledge. Looking over the falls is breathtaking and beautiful. Just to experience a wild river in its natural form is awesome. As with any riverside location, there is always a potential hazard with youngsters or adults falling in, so always be 100% alert, supervise youngsters like a hawk, and stay safe. Take caution in the winter months, the place can get icy, and no winter maintenance is done here.
