Nearest station: Shinjuku Gyoen Originally the site of a nobleman who was in the Edo period, it was opened in 1879. The garden includes "Japanese garden", "English landscape garden" and "French orthopedic garden", and the number of trees exceeds 10,000. It has been selected as one of the 100 most famous cherry blossom spots in Japan, and there are about 1300 cherry trees in 65 species. In spring, it is crowded with many tourists as a spot for cherry blossom viewing. From late March to early April, when Yoshino cherry trees are in full bloom, many visitors are welcomed. Mid-April to the end of April, when the cherry blossoms are in full bloom, are positioned as the best season for cherry blossoms in the garden.
