The Black Stork golf resort in Veľká Lomnica on the sunny side of the High Tatras is not just popular with golfers but is also ideal for golf tournaments, golf academies and group entertainment. There are 27 holes of golf, practice areas, professional golf coaches and of course an opportunity to rent golf equipment. Situated in the middle of the golf course is the classy Hotel International. Golf is more than 100-year-old tradition in High Tatras. According to historical press, the aristocracy of the Upper Hungary played the first tournament in the nearby Tatranská Lomnica in 1906. High Tatras have been already at that time a much sought-after place not only for climatic treatment, but also for entertainment and relaxation resources. It is said that a black stork used to come from nearby swamps to watch golf players... There are still many storks around and therefore the new resort was named the "Black Stork".
