Great vistas from its many trails and a birds-eye-view from on top of Castle Rock itself. If you paddle to the cabin from Oregon you can stop here for a quick hike up the staircase that summits the rocky bluff over the river

Rt. 2 Between Dixon & Oregon: Breathtaking views from clifftops of the Rock River Valley. Great spot for seeing bald eagles.

Enjoy hiking, fishing, bird watching and canoeing/kayaking. Check out the overlook for a nice view of the Rock River above the tree tops (multiple sets of stairs).
