Fly a kite, learn to surf, go paddleboarding or go for a run or a walk on the beach, have a picnic, go clamming, beachcomb. This is the local favorite spot to be on the beach.

Bring a beach chair and towel and relax and watch the surfers at South Beach. You can also rent boards and wet suits and join in the surfing fun or boogie board if that's more your speed.

South Beach is a locals beach just south of Crescent City Harbor where Hway 101 rolls into town. A wide sandy beach that is partially protected.

Just south of Crescent City, this area is larger than Pebble beach and a great place to hang out for the day or get a longer walk in. You can also try your hand at surfing or boogie boarding if interested.
