Reputedly Irelands highest waterfall, this beautiful falls flow from a stream on the top of the Glencar escarpment at Tormore. There is an easy looped walk which gives glorious views down to Glencar lake as well as a viewpoint for the waterfall itself. If youre lucky and the wind is blowing in the right direction on the day of your visit, you might see it flowing upwards instead of down!!!!

What a spectacular place. Listed on the World Waterfall Database as Ireland's tallest waterfall at 492 ft. The best way to fully experience this place is during absolutely filthy windy rainy weather. Wear a mac and prepare for a short climb (approx 45 mins up). There's a Bear Cave! The waterfall is upside down! It's completely mad. Then up the road 5 mins to Glencar Tea Shed for tea and cake.
