At Sugar Creek Mining Company at the main entrance to Sugar Mountain, grab a bucket and head to the flume line. Their staff helps you sort your gemstones, identify them and even create a piece of jewelry.

This is a great place for gem mining you can be outdoors or in the caboose for cold or rainy weather! Our kids love this!!

Rubies, emeralds, topaz and quartz are all stones that can be found at Sugar Creek Mine. No tools are necessary, and even small children can find beautiful gems. It can be a short activity that only takes about an hour or you can spend the whole day creating memories with family and friends!
