There is a trail around the Spring (which is 7th largest in MO) that is about .3 mile. The overlook trail is steeper and closer to a mile. My recommendation is to do this as early in morning or close to sunset as possible. In the morning it is beautiful to see fog lifting from the river valley. Also it is much less busy during the week. If you want a great overlook but don't want to hike that much, just drive a bit father, past the park on 106 and you will go up the hill . On each side of highway there are places to pull off and take pictures , etc. This is so close to house and very easy to access.

Absolutely stunning! Best seen in dry weather. One of the most photographed places in the state.

A must see! Old mill on a large spring. Also has an old one room schoolhouse. Flows into the Jack’s Fork River. You can picnic, hike, and then cool off in the river, which is shallow and suitable for children.
