Haga is the oldest part of Gothenburg. A picturesque place to stroll around. Cozy cafe and fun shops.

Scenical area to walk with shops and cafes. One tip: try the big cinnamon rolls from Cafe Husaren. You can then walk to the Skansen Kronan (a tower in the top of a small hill nearby).

Haga is one of the oldest neighborhoods in Gothenburg, full of beautiful shops, cafes, and cobblestone streets. It is the perfect place to leisurely stroll around and spend a few relaxing hours perusing, shopping or taking a fika. Haga, which is a really cozy area with unique Swedish wooden buildings. The district has a very special atmosphere, and the main street Haga Nygateen is full of cozy sidewalk cafes and small specialty shops where you can otherwise just shop loose. It is obvious that you go out to try boring Swedish coffee when you are in Haga, because the area is known especially for its fantastic cinnamon snails. If you are in doubt about what fika means, then I can tell you that it is another word for “coffee and cake” and that was exactly what we got. You have to try Café Husaren, which is one of the street's best cafés, and there the cinnamon rolls cover the entire plate!

Haga is one of the oldest and cosiest neighbourhoods in Gothenburg. Close to the city centre and perfect to take a stroll through, enjoy the small independent shops and the cute cefés (with the largest cinnamon buns in town).

This is a old part of Gothenburg situated just outside the old fortification canal. It is built in wood so that if at an enemy attac it could quickley be set on fire so that the enemy wouldnt have access to places to hide just outside the city wall. This was at the 16 and 17th century when a lot of battles between swedes, danes and norwegion took place in the areas around Where Gothenburg is now situated. Haga is a nice area to walk around with lots of cafees and resurants also in the adjacent Järntorget. Linnegatan and andra långgatan
