A delightful 151 km long road with astonishing scenery, a road that is the second-highest paved road in the country after the Transalpina. We even have Andrei, one of our friends who is more that happy to be doing a beautiful biking tour with you, if you may choose to do so.

If you came by car, Transfagarasan is worthy to be on your list. It's a one hour drive to get there, but the road is definitely worth it. Enjoy your day while driving on this road with an amazing view and take a short hiking trip from Balea Lake to the mountain ridge ( we suggest taking some hiking boots for this part and make sure you have water and some snacks with you ). End the day with a lunch at one of the restaurants located near Balea Lake.
