History: Christ the Redeemer was built in the 1920s and is a symbol of the city of Rio de Janeiro. It is considered one of Brazil's main tourist attractions and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Location: Christ the Redeemer is located on top of Corcovado Mountain, 710 meters above sea level, in Tijuca National Park. It is visible from many parts of the city and is a famous icon of Rio de Janeiro. How to get there: There are several ways to get to Christ the Redeemer, including a cable car that leaves from the Botanical Garden, a tour bus that leaves from Lapa, or a private car. It is important to remember that access to Corcovado Hill is restricted to private vehicles, so guests will need to use other transportation options. What to do there: Besides enjoying the panoramic view of the city, guests can also visit the Christ the Redeemer museum, which is located at the end of the cable car station. Hours of operation: Christ the Redeemer is open every day from 8am to 6:30pm. It is recommended to arrive early to avoid queues. Tips: If guests want to make the most of their visit to Christ the Redeemer, it is important to bring water, sunscreen, and a light jacket, as the temperature can vary greatly depending on the time of day.
