One of the original dive bars in "Old" Vegas - Atomic Liquors recently reopened with updated decor. Its name was Virginia's Cafe but was given the nickname Atomic Liquors because when the Nevada Test site was doing bomb testing, the mushroom clouds were visible from the bar stools. Today it stands in the same location with many of the original fixtures and serves up a hefty well-poured cocktail or one of the over 30 craft beers on tap.

Atomic liquors is the oldest freestanding bar in Las Vegas. Boasts the first package liquor license and off-sales permit in the city. Unclear testing site was mere 50 miles away, people used to watch the mushroom clouds from the rooftop. There is also an Atomic museum that is worth the trip if you are not all into drinking and partying.
Local bar & liquor store from 1952 named for the atomic tests patrons once watched from the roof. It's an institution in the neighborhood.
