I absolutely don’t recommend going here, its really sad to see, huge homeless and addicted population, very rough neighborhood. Worst area of Vancouver, you can walk through and its reasonably safe but you wont like it 100%.

Vancouver's DTES is Canada's poorest postal code. You'll see many people who are unhoused lining the streets. Addiction and drug use is often out in the open here, which can save people's lives because the drug supply is currently toxic. 195 humans DIED as a result of the toxic drug supply in Vancouver in the month of May alone. Please be kind to the residents if you find yourself in this neighbourhood. If you want to learn more I highly recommend the podcast called Crackdown.
