Say cheese!!!! Don't fall for a tourist trap, there are many. You pay an awful lot for an ordinary plastic-like cheese. Don't! Go to De Kaaskamer!

The best cheese shop in Amsterdam, for Amsterdammers. This is not a tourist shop but it actually sells great products that the owner himself buys from local farmers.

There are many cheese (kaas) shops in Amsterdam, but this is one of the best. You can get fresh sandwiches and toasties (my favourite is cheese and kimchi), made to order; the perfect lunch to take and sit on the canalside.

Great cheese shop also selling excellent hams and some nice wines to enjoy them with!
