Kastelet, a 16th-century summer house bought by croatian famous sculptor Mestrovic in 1939 and converted into a chapel. Very pleasant and beautiful place, sculptures, arts, nice garden and see view.

Meštrović bought in 1939 this former old and neglected fortified residence from the 16th century, and transformed it into a beautiful house, with atrium, garden and small church in a lovely location overlooking the sea, with an exhibition space inside the chapel with wood carvings of the Crucifixion and scenes from the life of Christ, sculpted/carved in wood. It is included in the same ticket bought to visit the Meštrović Gallery (located about 500 meters above) so really finish the tour by visiting this place that is only 5min away. It is very different from what we're used to see, it feels very pure and authentic and offers a spectacular view and a live-in art experience, in a unique setting, the surrounding garden and orchard, overlooking the beautiful Adriatic Sea.
