Namba area is huge shopping district. When people come to Osaka, there is always a lot of talk about shopping and shopping mall. The reason is that Osaka is an old merchant city and trading and commerce are deeply rooted in the local history This is main street in Osaka called Midosuji, 1.3km long and 6 lines one way. 800 ginkgo tree are planted on both side of this street. In autumn, they become very beautiful yellow color. In winter, they are decorated with fantastic illuminations. There is Midosuji red line subway runs under this street. And It’s possible to access Shinsaibashi, Dotombori, America mura, and Nippombashi by walking.
