Kolonaki, meaning “slight column” in Greek, is named after a small column that stands in the center of Kolonaki Square. The district stretches out from Syntagma Square to the foot of Lycabettus hill, the highest point of Athens. Kolonaki is full of parks and gardens and is defined by its classical and modernist buildings, which make it one of the most exquisite neighborhoods in Athens.
