Best breakfast in Bastrop go to Maxine’s. Lunch and dinner too; with delectable items such as chicken fried steak with gravy, fried catfish, pork chops, mashed potatoes, collard greens, cheeseburgers and fries, fresh salads and daily specials. ... and, did we mention the pies?

Literally on of the best breakfasts in Texas (says Texas Monthly). Checkout the pecan pancakes or other hearty breakfasts. Go early on the weekends to avoid the lines

They offer home cooked, comfort food and are located in Bastrop, TX. They have been awarded many awards for their home cooked meals.

Maxine's has a fantastic menu. I love everything! Must trys are the platter sized pancakes! Don't forget the pecan praline topping. Yummy! They also have down home classics like fried green tomatoes, pot roast, chicken and dumplings and more!
