This beach is right on your doorstep. Just down Westbrook Gardens. BBQs from 6PM.

Another nearby beach between Westgate and Margate. Recommend wearing swimming shoes as can be very rocky underfoot in some places.

Perfect for swimming at high tide and for walks, games and searching rock pools at low tide. Walk east at sunset for fantastic views. The esplanade is part of the Viking Cycle trail, although you must dismount at peak times, from where you can cycle east to Reculver and west to Broadstairs with very little on road cycling.

Not as touristy as Margate main sands but just as lovely. Good cafe for take away food (don't be put off by it's appearance).
