For people looking for peace and quiet and interested in meditation, I recommend Ojai, an hour or so north of the city by car. At a place called Meditation Mount, you’ll get the best view of the sunset. It’s an amazing way to end a day. It’s hard to imagine a better place to meditate. Check out the Krishnamurti Retreat Center, too. You can either do your own retreat, or you can be part of a retreat.

A beautiful drive and breathtaking views once you get there. A 10 minute drive and well worth it! They have a full schedule including: morning meditation, yoga, walks~ or walk on the path that leads to a bench overlooking the Ojai Valley. As of Feb 2018 they are closed due to completing fire restoration, check their web site for updates.

A 10-minute drive into the mountains from town, Meditation Mount offers beautiful valley views for quiet contemplation. It is also a setting for classes and retreats. The gardens are open to everyone looking for peaceful relaxation.
