Fisherman's Beach is a good place to go and enjoy some local food and drink. Its located in the town of Ocho Rios, enjoy some background music while kids play in he distance
Fisherman’s Beach is halfway between Montego Bay and Ocho Rios. It is a public beach and is one of the best for a local vibe. The scenery is straight out of an old Caribbean postcard: kids play in the distance, colorful fishermen canoes rest on shore, and a ramshackle bar along the wide golden sands attracts the usual neighbors. Show up mid-afternoon, when the grill and some background music get started, while the waves splash and the sun prepares to set.

There are many seafood restaurants to choose, free beach access, live music, and some outdoor seating
Immediately west of Island Village Beach is the tiny public Fishermen’s Beach, with colorful fishing boats and several eateries serving fresh fish and more. It's not obvious where the sand is when you first enter due to the fancy new redevelopment of the restaurant units, but push through and the old boats are still on the beach and there are cheap eats on a boardwalk as well as the fancier joints overlooking the sea from upstairs. 17 min from Tropical Getaway
