The magical town of Soller is known for its multi-cultural vibe, great food scene, its gelato, and for hosting a sprawling outdoor market every Saturday. It is also the starting point for cyclists, hikers, bikers and adventurers. Our favorite activity in Soller, however, is to enjoy an early evening cocktail in one of the many cafes on Plaza Constitución. Not only does the square have a stunning 17th-century cathedral, but it's also one of the few places in Majorca where tourists and locals converge. Watch the local youth kick footballs while cycling teams quench their thirst and a family plays cards at the next table.

About a 30 minute walk downhill from Fornalutx by foot, on an easy footpath, or a bit longer on a steep footpath (Creuer) passing through the hamlet of Biniaraix. There is also a bus from Fornalutx to Soller, but this doesn't run very frequently. Check the timetable at the bus stop. If you drive down, beware of sharp bends and narrow roads. I prefer to drive UPHILL, left at the junction, then left again at the roundabout when the road ends, and continue (passing the road to Deia & Valldemossa on the right), then after the Repsol petrol station you can park for free near the Museum of Natural science and walk down any road on the left into Soller. DO NOT MISS SOLLER!!!

The capital of the valley of Oranges. You either drive through the tunnel (and pay each tome around 5 euro) or go over the mountain to reach this beautiful part of Mallorca.

Take the beginning of the XX century train that crosses the mountains through tunnels, and discover the stunning views of the Serra de Tramontana. You can finish the visit in Port de Sóller, going there from Sóller by tram or on foot, where you can enjoy the beach and great restaurants.
