The street is a shopping and dining destination that stretches from Canal Street to Esplanade in the French Quarter, through the residential Marigny and Bywater neighborhoods all the way to the Industrial Canal. Royal is also where you can dine in hidden courtyards, listen to street buskers and visit historic city landmarks. One of our favorite streets in the city. This is the only remaining pedestrian mall in America, meaning that they close the street for live performers to play music. There are plenty of art galleries and local shops to enjoy as well.

Royal St starting around St. Phillip going all the way down to Canal St is lined with art galleries, antique shops, pop-up artist vendors (near Jackson Square), street performers, and of course, beautiful architecture. Perfect for an afternoon stroll and great people watching too!
