Great traffic free precinct shopping. Free parking in all carparks.

I've never been as I'm not much of a shopper, but people who've lived in Newport all their lives tell me a lot of locals do their shopping here due to what's on offer and that there's roofing throughout so even good for rainy days. Website says open 9am to 5.30pm (10am to 4pm Sunday), but some shops seem to suggest later closing times.

Cwmbran shopping centre has everything you'll need. It is nearly all pedestrianised, making wandering round safe and easy.
