Downtown Spokane: Yes, we have Barnes & Noble in the valley, but this well established gem is worth a visit! In the heart of downtown, it features many local works and even an awesome co-op art gallery attached! The gallery features high-quality artworks, pottery, jewelry and crafts from local artists. In the bookstore, look for locally made greeting cards, obscure books, historical local books, alternative lifestyle, magazines, a huge fiction department, children's department , game store (attached), and so much more! There's a great bar/restaurant right next door with only the best! If you're lucky enough to shop during a rainstorm, you'll enjoy the soothing sound of raindrops upon their very high roof. Beautiful historical building with wooden floors- please don't miss this!

I love this place. They have new and used books, a wonderful children's section and the atmosphere is so cozy.
