Navigation Cottage Luxury on the Historic Sea Lock

Navigation Cottage is set right on the Historic Sea Lock at Heybridge Basin. It is a great place to visit with the picturesque canal walk where beautiful Thames Barges can often be seen, the Sea Wall walk past the lake Nature Reserve into Maldon or to the Marina. There are good pubs and the famous Tiptree Tee Rooms at the Sea Lock. The owners have built a lovely decking to enjoy the peaceful views across the garden and over the Lake. Perhaps book a trip on one of the Historic Thames Barges.

St George’s Cosy Cabin with Jacuzzi Hot Tub

*please note: the Jacuzzi is out of order until 22 June 26* The cabin is set within a privately owned lane surrounded by woods and farmland. Situated within the grounds of our house it can easily sleep 2 adults and 2 small children. Cot, highchair and 2 single airbeds are available. It boasts a large patio with sunbeds and quality furniture and the jacuzzi is an added luxury, £20 is requested via this app if used. There is a large fully stocked fishpond of which guests are welcome to feed.

The Cartlodge is a well presented suite, comprising of a cosy sitting room with 50 inch LED smart TV, bedroom with comfortable king-sized bed and spacious shower room. Stylishly decorated with quality furnishings. Located in a rural village with country pub. Ideal base for many local wedding venues, 23 miles from Stansted airport, just 2.4 miles from Witham mainline railway station (40 mins to London). Little Braxted is situated 12 miles north of Chelmsford and 14 miles south of Colchester.

Anchor cottage, an Historic Home and now with EV charger, is a delightful period, cottage situated in the heart of The Anchorage, once known as Mersea City on Mersea Island. It has three bedrooms, a large double, a twin room and a downstairs single bedroom. The bathroom is on the ground floor and large sitting/dining room with a gas heater and provides plenty of space for five people indoors and there is a private, wrap around garden with BBQ area that enjoys the sun at most times of the day.

This apartment is situated within the main building of the Tower but benefits from its own private entrance and is completely self-contained. There are some lovely walks on the door step.

With its own beachside garden and breathtaking uninterrupted views of the wildest of Essex creeks and marshes, the cottage is only to be reached on foot atop a sea wall. The perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The last in a row of westerly facing cottages, perfect to watch the evening sun go down . From the front garden or even laying in bed, watch the tide slip in and out, the fishing boats come and go and live, for a while, in a world moving at a slower pace.

The village itself has 2 pubs and lots of walking routes nearby. Paper Mill Lock is a pleasant 30 min walk and has water sport facilities and tea room. Footpath maps available. The Retreat, is a lovely self contained holiday let, it’s on our property but completely separate, so all completely private for our guests. It has its own fully equipped kitchen, lounge, bathroom, and bedroom, with double or single beds, which ever suits your needs best. As it’s a garage conversion, head space is limited for taller people, upstairs when walking through from bedroom to bathroom Pets- only 1 small pet allowed
