Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Close enough to Picton and Waikawa Bay yet far enough away to feel you are a long way from both. Perfect environment for peace and quiet, but also perfect central spot to explore Marlborough. Ample space for children and animals to play. Plenty of parking space, including a boat. A delightful garden studio queen bed plus a small lounge, set on the sunny side of Waikawa at the top of the South Island of New Zealand. Waikawa is a microclimate very sheltered and peaceful, private outdoor living on the guest patio, BBQ, Sheep in the adjacent paddock, 5 minutes to the safe swimming beach, 4 minutes to the local marina, Jolly Roger Café bar. 8 minutes drive to Picton's shops, restaurants and ferry terminal. There are many bush walks. Karaka Point Maori Pa Site is four km .

Our cosy self-contained studio is warm, clean and homely. Ideal for a solo traveller or couples. The Studio is only an 8 minute drive from Picton and the ferry (approx. 4kms), the cafes, restaurants, bars, aquarium, museum and the gateway to the Queen Charlotte Sounds. Enjoy the many walks, bike tracks and choice of boat cruises on offer from the Picton foreshore, or simply use our place as a convenient ferry stopover. Blenheim is only a 35 min drive if you want to explore further afield.

Safe off road parking available in front of the cottage in a quiet cul-de-sac A short 3 minute drive to the Jolly Roger bar and restaurant located in the tranquil Waikawa Marina, second largest Marina in NZ. Stunning bush walks located close to the cottage, including a 25 min walk to Picton, Wakawa Marina and the scenic Mt Victoria. Just a 5min drive to either Ferry terminal, restaurants, bars and shopping in Picton High Street.

We offer a BBQ to cook on with a microwave for heating. 10 min walk to Town (Restaurants & Bars), close to Ferries, Walking/Biking Tracks and both Marinas also a couple of swimming spots. Tastefully decorated apartment with wifi and Nespresso coffee machine ( with capsules) , Microwave, Ninja Air Fryer Pro Xl (roast, bake, reheat and dehydrate) tea and coffee, and a BBQ. The BBQ is located in a covered area at the entrance to the apartment. It has 2 hotplates and a burner on which a pot or frying pan can be used. All pots and cooking utensils are provided.
