Or just sit on the deck with a book and cup of tea or glass of wine. Pets are welcome (we do charge a small fee for pets)!

All wheel drive a must in winter. We have a spacious deck by the shared pool, pergola, and a shady deck by the stream.

Historic Fort Ticonderoga is a short drive from the home. Ferry access to Vermont is also within easy reach. Hiking trails are also within walking distance from the cottage. If shopping is on your agenda, the town of Lake George with its many outlets is less than hours drive away.

Quiet and Cozy Country Cottage

Very clean, well kept, 1 bedroom country cottage. Hardwood floors in bedroom and kitchen. Propane heater for winter months and AC in the summer. This a very quiet place, great for a relaxing getaway. There is a fire pit on the property, right near the cottage, for evening fires. We recommend AWD or 4WD or vehicles with snow tires during winter months. The cottage is located on a hill, can be slippery in the winter.

REDGATE LODGING is a renovated apartment in a 19th century barn on 40 acres in Shushan, NY. There is a full kitchen, sitting/eating area, queen bed in sleeping quarters with cable tv, a full bath & shower, and an outdoor terrace with views of Vermont’s Green Mountains. Nearby is the Battenkill River well known for fine fishing, canoeing and tubing. We are 40 minutes from Saratoga Springs, Manchester and Bennington.
