We had a wonderful refreshing stay at Danielle's home. Everything was spotlessly clean and well appointed. Every room had large picture frame windows looking out onto the most amazing immediate view of community enjoying the beach in all manner of ways. We loved staying at Danielle's home it was a real highlight.

Beautiful and peaceful and wroth every penny. Perfect for anyone who loves horses. The unit is well equipped and the bed is fantastically comfortable. We also went horse riding. Andrew and Laura were very accommodating and it was a great experience. We will be back.

We had a great stay here. The house is lovely and has great views over the water. We had our own car and access to all parts of Wellington was easy. We’re quite a bit fitter for the walk up the stairs each day, but the cable car access is great also.

We stayed for two months at John’s place. It was really well set up for a long stay and we enjoyed our time there. It was lovely to be able to walk along the beach each morning and it is within walking distance to most amenities. Would definitely stay again.

This is a wonderful spot on Island Bay, right across from the beach with views of the small harbor, Interislander ferries, flights into and out of Wellington’s airport, and the open ocean. The house is well equipped and spacious, with multiple places to relax both inside and outside. The decor is airy and charming, with a large living/dining area, front room with bay windows and seating, very nice main bathroom, and very functional laundry. The kitchen has excellent appliances, nice dishware, and a range of condiments etc. Great to have radiators in every room. Lots of people use the beach, even in cool fall weather, so it was good to have an outdoor hose for cleaning feet and an ample supply of beach towels. Island Bay and surrounding areas are gorgeous, with many nearby amenities, including a large playground, dog exercise area, restaurants, a small aquarium (open on Sundays), and one end of the No. 1 bus line (just a block away). All-in-all, a fabulous place in Wellington!

Believe it or not, you would not know this property was right in the middle of an active city center. It was quiet, comfortable and very safe. The beds and linens were heavenly. I would highly recommend staying here.

We really appreciated Alistair and Shelia's hospitality. They were the best hosts we have experienced with Airbnb rentals. The living accommodations were very comfortable and provided the space we needed to rest, do laundry, visit Wellington, and prepare for the next stage of our trip to South Island. We appreciated the closeness to bus and train routes into Wellington and to the Interislander Ferry to Picton.

Had a lovely stay at Brad and Chris's place. They are very friendly and proactive about any questions or problems you might have. The place has a lot of character and has been one of the more unique places I've stayed. If you're looking for a peaceful place with lots to do nearby, look no further! Wellington is just a short drive away too!

We had a fantastic stay at Gile's place in Wellington. Everything was perfectly clean and well provisioned. The location is super, walkable to all shopping, restaurants, and attractions. Gile is very responsive and a true gem of a host. Do not hesitate to book this place, it is an Airbnb 5+ stay!

My stay at Margaret's was awesome ! She's a super bubbly and funny person, she has a lot of good stories to tell and I really enjoyed the time I spent with her ! She welcomed me in a perfect French and she made me felt like I was at home. I would totally recommend staying at her place, you have to meet her ! This home’s 180+ degree views encompass a wide sailboard and surfers beach, Wellington airport’s final-approach flight path (which is quiet) and the mouth of Wellington Harbor. Therefore it is fun, fascinating and fulfilling.

It's a wonderful house with a garden-like yard, and the rooms are clean, comfortable, and cozy. The host is very friendly and helped us plan our bus routes with great enthusiasm. The rooms are fully equipped, and both the host and the rooms made me and my daughter feel very warm.

Jan is a most kind, caring, and thoughtful host. She genuinely cares about the wellbeing of her guests. She is industrious and proactive day and night providing a first class base for our exploration of Wellington. Can't recommend her place more highly!

I won't say much because there's too much to say. 3 words: hospitality, hospitality, hospitality. My friend and I felt right at home and if we're ever back in wellington, we know where to go. 5 stars all round.

Lovely, friendly hosts. House with lots of character. Very roomy and comfortable accomodation. Breakfast was a bonus. Walkable to/from Wellington Central if you don't mind a few slopes but, under $10 for an Uber taxi. Highly recommended.

Another comfortable stay at Jenny's place. Always a first choice for us, love the quiet location just a 10 minute walk from the station.
