Great for walkers, situated down a quiet lane, with fantastic walks from the front door through woodland, fields or moorland. .

"Ye Old Shop" 17th/19th century (Needham Cottage) has a cosy, quirky character, a simple charm or two. Stone single dwelling that used to be the village shop. Log burner in a spacious lounge - a small equipped gallery kitchen - Secret garden with views of River castle with rustic garden room. Ideally located for exploring the Peak District National Park - beautiful Derbyshire Dales. Pub 0.7 miles. Matlock 2.5 miles away with pubs, supermarket, restaurants, cafes etc. Sorry no pets or children.

Kick off your walking boots, wash down your bike or just park up the car, this freshly converted kennels is the place to relax for a few days. Peaceful and away from it all but close enough to explore the beauty of the Peak District and Chatsworth House. Matlock is a couple of miles away with restaurants, shops and amenities. Hillside is a newly built limestone self contained holiday let, on the edge of a pretty Derbyshire village. Hillside overlooks the village of Bonsall (near Matlock) offering beautiful views from the windows and private patio of the village and surrounding countryside. Bonsall offers an excellent pub, cafe and village shop. There are numerous walks from the doorstep - the Limestone Way passes through the village. Chatsworth, Bakewell, Dove Dale and the Monsal Trails are all a short drive away.

This barn is not for everyone; it is no ordinary holiday cottage, but a retreat for the senses. A unique chance to step back in time, a place where time stands still. The antidote to the fast-pace of life, up here you will feel as though you’re in another world. This 17th century barn is a love note to its 1960s conversion, with all its quirky features still intact. There are no screens, the lighting is low and warm, you will not hear a sound apart from the birdsong. For some, it is heaven.

The living/kitchen areas are bright and airy with huge high beamed ceilings and the bedroom with kingsize bed has French doors opening onto your private courtyard, so you can unwind on a warm evening or enjoy a lazy breakfast in summer.

Converted Dutch Barn, Wensley

Situated in the quiet village of Wensley is The Dutch Barn which probably boasts the best views across the dale towards Riber Castle in the Peak District National Park, walks from the doorstep too. It is a spacious but cosy, bright, open plan building which sleeps 2 and has a modern bathroom. It is situated near Matlock and just 7 miles from the lovely town of Bakewell and the famous Chatsworth house. It offers a tranquil stay with secure off road parking and garage facilities too.

Pepper Cottage is a stylish yet traditional workman's cottage with a modern garden room extension situated on Church Street, about 5-10mins walk into the centre of Matlock. It is ideal for dog-owners as it has a fenced garden and easy access to the High & Pic Tor for walks with fantastic views across Matlock & down to Matlock Bath. The front of the cottage looks up to Riber Castle. There is a lockable garden shed for bikes. Ideal for couples & families with older children.
