We really enjoyed staying here! We loved the open space and the comfortable couch and chairs which was great for hanging out and watching movies. There were towels provided for the hot tub and that was very convenient. The hot tub was super clean and in a very private area. We loved having the whole outdoor area to ourselves! The host provided muffins, which was such a nice treat. The kitchen was set up nicely and made it easy to cook several meals there. We loved the log cabin feel! Everything was just lovely for our cousin's weekend, and we would definitely stay again! Thanks so much!

The cabin was beautiful- BETTER than the pictures. The host family offers luxury "perks" like wonderful toiletries, pillowtop mattresses and top end pillows, soft blankets rolled up everywhere for guest to use, plush towels, the lights were on when we got there as was the hot tub ready to go. We will definitely be back. What a treat!

Our family had a mini getaway and it was the perfect spot! The sauna and hot tub were incredible! The kids LOVED the theater room. Such a great place for families. Thank you for being a great host!

This was our fourth stay at the house. We loved it as much as before. Very relaxing place with a wonderful view. The owner Heidi is super fast to respond and great to work with. We hope to return.

Sunset Cottage is the perfect weekend getaway place! We loved the West facing lake view for the amazing sunset each night, time in the hot tub each morning/evening, and enjoying the cozy cottage vibes. The town of Amery is great too, lots of restaurants, shops, and trails. Marjorie was also super helpful for everything we needed. We can’t wait to be back.

This very beautifully built cabin was such a great experience for our group for a nice winter stay and to get away and relax as a family for 4 nights. We cooked amazing meals and relaxed on the couches watching movies and hanging out by the fireplace. We brought ice skates and shoveled a little ice skating area off of the frozen lake and got to see some amazing night skies filled with stars on a few nights. Highly recommend a stay here and only 90 minutes from Minneapolis!

We’ve stayed here twice and both times we’ve had a great experience. Clean, tidy. The kids love that they can have their own rooms and also hang out in the ceiling hammocks! We love the foosball table in the basement! Our favorites are the hot tub and sauna. The sunrise views are beautiful. Hosts are very kind, and quick to respond to questions. They had the hot tub serviced during our stay to ensure highest quality water and enjoyment. We’ve recommended to our friends as a great place to stay with the family when you need a nearby getaway with lots of space and quiet!

My friends and I came up here just for a couple of days in early spring. We had a great time fishing off there dock and canoeing. I would highly recommend this house to any group of friends and families of any age. Thank you Dana!

We very much enjoyed our stay at The Grove! There were so many things that they have thought of to make you feel at home during your stay. Our kids LOVED the kid kayaks! We enjoyed watching them in the calm bay or paddle boarding with them. So much fun for our entire family! We will be back.

Perfect, quiet cabin tucked away in the woods! The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed. The lake view from the cabin and the dock was relaxing, we saw lots of different animals, enjoyed the fire pit, and loved feeling like it was just us! Not too long of a drive to a town for food, shopping, hiking, etc. Will be back!

We had a very lovely, peaceful weekend. The cabin exceeded our expectation, it is much cozier in person than the pictures show. The lake was beautiful and we even heard some loons, which is one of my favorite parts of being at the lake. Beds and bedding were very comfortable and we had everything we needed in the kitchen. We took advantage of the games Becky had provided. We tried to do the ax throwing at Stout Brewing but they have discontinued that, which was a little disappointing- would have been something different to do. We did have a good time exploring the antique stores and candy store in Menomonee and visiting the Ellsworth Cheese location just outside of town. They have windows into the factory area where you can watch them make the cheese as well as a very nice store with a lot of interesting items. I would highly recommend for a quiet, disconnected trip. It was just what we needed.

We had a wonderful stay at this peaceful property! The open fields and trails were perfect for outdoor adventures, and it was an ideal spot for our dog to run and explore. The house was cozy, and we loved spending time on the porch after long hikes. If you're looking for a relaxing getaway in nature, this place is a great choice!

Alissa was so great to communicate with! She was responsive and even offered an earlier check in which was perfect for us. Place was exactly as pictured and fit our needs perfectly. So nice but not too nice where you feel you can’t touch anything. Literally felt like home. Perfect for our family Christmas weekend get together!

The Little Red Cabin was perfect. Peaceful lake just outside a beautiful small town with lots to do. Great home away from home to kick back and take a break from reality.

We enjoyed staying in the little cabin in the woods. It was so cute and cozy! We loved the privacy and scenery. It was very peaceful. Our dog loved the fenced in yard, we appreciated that too. The house was equipped with everything we needed and more. We enjoyed walking on the trails in the woods. We saw lots of deer. We would love to stay here again in the future!

The cabin was beautiful and the lake was quite and peaceful. The cabin had everything I needed to make a nice meal and the bonfire pit was perfect! I would definitely stay again if I get the chance.

Absolutely loved it! Feels very cozy and peaceful. The view of the lake is great, we saw otters playing on the dock ♥️ very private and quiet, the whole family loved it.

Wow! The pictures don’t do this gem justice! The attention to detail was above and beyond. The place was well stocked, immaculately clean, and very comfortable beds/bedding. We stayed here for a small work intensive and the space was perfect for small group conversations with the many seating areas. We enjoyed walking/hiking in the area too! No corners were cut on making this an amazing place to stay. Highly recommend!

Entry code did not work and it was Sunday night and about 10 degees when I arrived. Thankfully, host was responsive and I was in within a few minutes!

Great place to stay. Beautiful view of the water from the back window. We stayed in the spring, so did not use the boat dock or the extra building used like a screened porch for eating outside or playing games. The place was extra clean and had nice decor. Would stay there again.

Our hosts were welcoming, accommodating, and proactive. The location was just as advertised and in a nice and tidy condition. I recommend for anyone considering.

My husband and I live in the Twin Cities and were looking for a little getaway for the weekend. This little cabin was adorable and had everything we were looking for—not too far away from the cities, close to hiking, right on a lake, relatively secluded, and allows dogs. The amenities were as described, and we immediately felt at home there. Hard to say goodbye!

This cabin is exceptionally clean and adorable, and the space is perfect for a getaway. Although it didn't affect our trip, I noticed the downstairs area is only accessible from the outside, which might be surprising for families needing that extra space. I feel like my family would enjoy coming here, especially with all the available water activities like paddle boating, canoeing, and kayaking. However, the only drawback is the weediness of the water entry. My family probably wouldn't want to walk through that. Overall, the location is beautiful and serene with so much to offer. We really appreciated the water jug and the many other amenities, including the Keurig coffees, to-go cups, creamers, and more. I would definitely come back!
