This place was beautiful!! Very secluded and clean! We had a few problems while we here (roof leaked during storm + trouble checking in) but they were very responsive and friendly on the phone and mitigated our problems very fast! I would definitely recommend staying here!

We were in town for a wedding. Everything was comfortable and lovely.

Highly recommend!! This was the perfect getaway! This house had everything we needed! It was right on the water, amazing views, great extra amenities (paddle boards, kayak, etc.). Hallie was so kind and responsive in all communications. The house itself is beautiful!! Amazing kings size beds! Couldn’t recommend more! We will be back, for sure!!

We really enjoyed our time at this rental! The place was clean, well stocked with everything we needed, and it was in a peaceful location. The hosts were responsive and friendly. The location was good for what we needed it for. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend!

We enjoyed our stay. Peaceful and beautiful home. Our children enjoyed the convenience of the lake and there was plenty to do in the home (toys, board games, flat screens everywhere). The kitchen was great for cooking and grill worked fine. The location is excellent - 5 minutes to a grocery store. Definitely recommend staying here!!

It was a great place for 2 couples to stay. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook 2 meals a day. The weather did not cooperate, so we did not use the outdoor area. If we ever visit that area again, we would stay there.

A kind host and a wonderful stay! The perfect place for pets to stay on an extended work trip. The farmhouse is beautiful and the farm animals added to our enjoyment. The host was very responsive to any issues that arose. The location is rural but close enough to Hartselle and Falkville for quick runs to town.

The host Dave was very friendly and accomodating! It was very clean and the view was amazing.

We absolutely loved this place! The kids especially enjoyed the pool — it was a major highlight and made the trip even more fun. The home is secluded, which gave us peace and privacy, and the thoughtful touches throughout made it feel extra special. The bathroom was stunning, and the sauna was such a great bonus. Everything was clean, well-maintained, and just beautiful. Although we had to travel an hour to Huntsville for our activities, we didn’t mind the drive at all because we knew we were coming back to such a wonderful home. The host was incredibly accommodating and even allowed us to check in early, which we really appreciated. Highly recommend this place — we’d definitely stay again!

Camp Liberty was literally a "God-Send". Our original lodging arrangement with this platform/company got "whacked" after we had already set out for a 10hr road trip. As we traversed onward to our destination I spent a good deal of time trying to find something that made sense for 2-Adults and 2-dogs <50lbs. Of which, one is a card carrying certified service dog. By God's Grace I came across Camp Liberty. However, I knew we were going to be hours later than normal "check-In" which turned into an additional 5hr as we incurred a "blow-out" but fortunate enough to have gotten off the interstate prior. Colonel Land had already been so generous and kind by accepting our initial reservation but even after explaining the hardship/road crap with finding some help with a tire, etc. after 6pm on a weekday. Colonel Land was MOST accommodating and helpful! He treated us exactly how I would have treated another man. Especially, a man in need of a little help. The place fit our needs to a T!

We were so happy to find this place in haleyville! We have a big family so having a place for everyone is hard to find., especially with a pool! The house is dated for sure but it has everything you need. The house was clean and the beds were comfortable. We’re hoping to stay here again! The host was great and answered timely to any questions we had.

David and Pat far exceeded my expectations! I have a love for tiny homes and this has been my favorite we have stayed in. They were super responsive, even before we had booked and all the way through. Everything was provided in a timely manner. The exterior was super cute and clean. The inside was clean and perfect. The decor is all very thoughtful with unique artwork and colors everywhere. We felt very peaceful and at home. We came down for the state track meet for my son and the weather delayed the meet several times so we spent the majority of our time on the track. My sons school had them in a sketchy hotel so I asked if they mind if he came back to the cabin with us and they instantly said of course. We left super early and got home very late both nights BUT had we have had time before we had to leave super early Sunday morning, David took us to the dock on the golf cart and showed us all around and offered the pool anytime. Very kind and friendly family! Ty!

A peaceful and quiet place for a restful get away…one of the most beautiful views on Smith Lake. Lynn was very responsive and provided all information needed prior to check-in.

Jim was so flexible. At first I thought i was going to get there early on friday so I wrote him if I could check in early. He said I could be there at noon. We did not end up leaving texas until friday evening so we arrived around 10 am on saturday. The place looked so amazing I still wanted to stay an extra day anyway, I asked if I could add an extra day to my stay since we missed the friday (of course we meant to pay) and he said we definitely could and since we missed friday we could stay the extra day for free! I intended to pay but he said it was fine! Then he walked my kids and I through the main property. The deck, the boathouse, the lake! Wow!!!! It was so beautiful and peaceful! It was like a scene from a movie. Jim offered up sodas and waters and told us if we needed any we can get some at anytime. Walked us inside the main house and said we could get coffee and overall a great and kind host. While out he was messaging me on the AirBNB app to suggest places to visit! 🙌🏼

Wonderful place to relax! The home is beautifully decorated and well equipped for a comfortable stay! Downstairs room is perfect for my teenagers And plenty of comfortable outdoor seating to enjoy the views and scenery! We will definitely be back! Gigi and John were very helpful and responsive during our stay! Thank you.

I highly recommend this host and their lovely home. We had everything we could ever need for a relaxing vacation. The property was beautiful inside and out, clean, the beds were comfortable, and it has anything you might need to cook a meal in the kitchen. We loved the fire pit and hanging out on the back porch and the dock. We are so thankful we could include our pup on this trip. You won’t be disappointed if you stay here on your next trip!

We had a fantastic weekend on the lake! The floating dock and kayaks were great for relaxing, spending time by the water, and soaking up rays. The screened back porch was cozy and great after a day in the sun. We spent both evenings on the large loveseat swing, reading and vibing as the sun set. Everything was comfortable, clean, and as advertised. Also a neighbor's dog greeted us at check-in and just sort of hung around with us for the day. He was a very good boy :)

Great house, but a bit of a hike to the dock. The dock, kayaks, etc… are great.

This wasn’t our first stay at the copper penny because we love the location and accommodations so much! Really feels like a home away from home. Katie is such a kind host who is always responsive when needed. We will be back and recommend for a nice peaceful getaway!
