We absolutley adored staying in Charlie's place for the week. We've been to many air bnb's but this was our favourite! Excellent location, so clean and honestly felt like a home from home for me, my husband and our 2 year old. Gorgeous outside decking area and easy walk into Pickering with easy parking just around the corner. We loved it and will definitely be back! Thanks ❤️

This place was fantastic and can't be faulted. It is homely and clean with thoughtful decor and furnishings. It is well equipped with everything you need and some welcome goodies when we arrived plus great consideration to dogs. The location is ideal with off street parking and an easy walk into the centre of York. Lots to do and see but we only had 2 nights on our way to Northumberland so will hopefully be back and will certainly stay in this lovely house when we do. Booked to celebrate my mum’s 60th Birthday, the cottage is beautifully furnished and has all you could possibly need for a stay - the coffee machine and treats left for us was an incredibly nice touch. There were plenty of beautiful walking opportunities around the cottage and the cottage is ideally placed for access to the Peak District. The pub over the road was good for breakfasts and ideally located! The beds and linen were very comfortable, and we had a lovely nights sleep, woke up feeling well rested. Unfortunately we had an issue with the shower, a faulty seal led to the bathroom flooding and water through the kitchen ceiling - this was very promptly communicated to the host who was proactive and sent someone the following morning for the necessary repairs - we were assured the issue would be permanently resolved once everything has had a chance to dry out. We thank Claire for her kindness in offering us another stay, which we look forward to!

Very charming cute place just outside of the old town. Great if you arrive with the car, as it is only a short walk to be in the old town. Grocery shops just around the corner as well. We had a great stay, everything was clean and well equipped. Definitely would recommend it.

This is our favourite place to stay when we visit Halifax, especially when we want to bring our two dogs. It's only a few minutes' drive from the Piece Hall, Shibden Hall, the Bankfield Museum and other places we like to visit, but it is quiet and feels like countryside. Fields are on two sides, with deer and foxes that sometimes pose for us in early morning or at dusk. It's always clean. Everything we need is right there. We especially love have enough of a freezer to bring a week's worth of our dogs' favourite food. In the Halifax area we really don't want to stay anywhere else.

We had a lovely 2 day stay. The house was very clean and had everything that we needed. Beds were clean and fresh. The house was well maintained and lovely decor and soft furnishings. It’s a little way from the main centre but easily walkable. Would highly recommend

Rachel was incredibly helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Communication was excellent. The house wasn't lovely and a prefect place for us as a family to stay at and explore York. Would definitely recommend and we will be returning.

Fab house with absolutely everything you could need in the. Great location. Only a short walk to a few pubs. We went to The Woodman for lunch which was lovely. The house has loads of space and a huge outdoor area with amazing views. We were lucky and got some sun on Easter Sunday. Also has a fire pit in the garden for when it cools down which we used. The kitchen is very well equipped and the oven is fab for making a dinner for a big family. Would definitely return. Thanks for a great stay.

We had a comfortable and cozy break at Charlotte's Cottage. The grounds were the beautiful and perfect for our dog!

Lovely stay, shepherds hut was well equipped and had all you needed and was nice and cosy inside… outdoor space was also great and we loved the hot tub and bbq facilities which were provided. Gillan was a great host and showed us around, but privacy was not invaded which we liked. Would definitely recommend a stay here

Lovely little cottage, nice simple accomodation in a lovely quiet area. Not many things to do without driving away from the immediate vicinity but the pool and games rooms on site are a bonus

Exactly as described and a really lovely park for a quiet break. Very pleased to find a woodland dog walk, small shop and cafe/bar on the grounds! Would definitely return.

Honestly can't rate this place highly enough. We planned to stay for 2 nights but had such a great time we ended up staying an extra night. Extremely clean, lovely and quiet (it was off season) and plenty of places walkable or within a short drive. Everyone on the site seemed lovely and Angela was very responsive and gave lots of really good information before and during our visit. Would stay again in a heartbeat!

If there was a six star rating then I would definitely pick that! Julian’s house is superb, we stayed for 4 nights after the new year as a family and have had the best time. The house is just beautiful in a gorgeous location and very spacious. There were 9 of us and 3 dogs all together and we had more than enough room. I would wholeheartedly recommend Foxhall farm along with Julian and Jolene who are great and very helpful. Thank you for fab holiday 🥰

Expensive but worth every penny for our 4 generation trip. Rooms for exuberant kids and quiet rooms for 90+ years old great grand parents. Large sociable kitchen diner . Swim spa at 35c so great for the Californian kids.

We cannot thank Simon and Lynne enough for the incredible stay that we had with them at their magical cottage. Every aspect of our experience exceeded our expectations. From the amazing communication, warm welcome, and truly breathtaking accommodation, we immediately felt at home and in relaxation mode. Everything was spotlessly clean and beautifully curated. The hot tub was immaculately cared for and offered welcome relaxation. The beds were so comfy and the bathrooms spotlessly clean. We simply couldn’t fault it. Thank you so very much for making our stay such a memorable one.

Arglam Farm, what a find! Sally and Andrea have a super self catering accommodation. Absolutely spotless, perfectly presented. A fabulous view, ample parking. Thoughtful additions to help your trip go well. Dog friendly, kid friendly. We attended a family wedding at Everingham Park and this house was a fabulous base for our family to relax and get ready for the wedding. Market Weighton for last minute essentials and a trip to fabulous Beverly. We must stay longer next time in this fantastic corner of Yorkshire.

Had a lovely stay in Ripon. The house was just as described, very clean and in a great location, within easy walking distance of the market square, and also for walks along the river. We had no problems parking - only once having to park around the corner rather than outside the property. Would recommend.

We had a fab 3-night stay and felt very comfortable. It was a well appointed kitchen for cooking and hosting others. Will hopefully stay again.

Fantastic place tucked away in a sleepy village only 35 minutes form York. The perfect location for anyone visiting the city. We came away for my wife's birthday and on arrival, we were greeted with a happy birthday banner on the front door and when we entered, there was a birthday card a bottle of proseco waiting for us. A lovely gesture! The Piggery is a beautiful home from home with every amenity thought of, immaculately clean and has one of the most comfortable beds i have ever slept in. After a long day of walking around York, it was great to get back and relax in the Hot Tub. Andy & Sue are great hosts and although we didn't actually meet them, they were very responsive to messages before our arrival and were only next door if we needed anything but we didn't as everything that we could of needed was there. Will definitely stay here again..

Gorgeous tranquil setting but only 15 mins walk into Pickering. The lodge was full of character. This part of North Yorkshire has loads for families to do.

Another lovely stay at Tracey’s place ❤️ This is our 4th year coming x As soon as we walk in the door the cottage gives you a big welcoming hug , Tracey goes the extra mile with a warm welcoming personal card a basket of goodies and beer and milk in the fridge along with tea coffee etc etc x you can just walk in and sit down enjoy that incredible view with a brew or beer , even Otis ( our Frenchie ) is so relaxed here , the neighbours are so friendly and have a warm smile and chat , I cannot recommend this place enough we absolutely love coming ❤️ Tracey is a great host and has a beautiful little gem in the heart of Yorkshire I am so happy we found this place Thank you Tracey Lots of love Tracey Wayne and Otis ❤️🐾❤️
