Take a stroll to the river, or up the driveway to see the animals. Enjoy your coffee at the fire ring while you take in the mountain views or sit inside. There is a kitchen area, with basic dishes and pans for cooking, with a stove inside that converts to a heater and a small sink. The 1/2 bath is the outhouse located near by.

Our cabin is close to the Blue Ridge Parkway, Appalachian Trail, and the James River with many outdoor activities within minutes. Our cabin will accommodate 2 people based upon septic system and rules and regulations set by Bedford County . Our cabin is not kid friendly (infant-10 y). Please message us with any questions. Come back from sightseeing or from a hike and relax in the hammock, 6 person hot tub, or by fire pit.

Amazing handcrafted cabin located in the center of the "Roanoke Triple Crown" (McAfee's Knob, tinker cliffs and dragons tooth trails) just minutes from each trail head. Cabin is tucked away from everything. No other houses can be seen from the cabin. The cabin overlooks a beautiful pond with a small waterfall cascading in. Cabin was sustainability built with trees from the 20 acres it sits on. McAfee's Knob trailhead is 10 minutes away, Andy Layne trailhead to tinker cliffs is 9 minutes away.

Features: hot tub, outdoor dining area, small kitchenette amenities, and smart-tv w/firestick (must use your hotspot to stream). 10 min to BR Parkway, Peaks of Otter, and Claytor Nature Center. Wineries, orchards, and hiking nearby. Friendly dogs may occasionally visit from my mother’s house next door. The Little Gallery House, near Natural Bridge, is part of an old Civilian Conservation Corps Camp, then juvenile detention center, now a campground and artist community, called Thunder BRidge. There are 100 acres to explore, bordering the Jefferson National Forest, with hiking trails and just 2 miles from the James River. This would be an ideal place for family to meet if some of you want to camp and others would like a real house. There is a queen bed and a day bed.

NEW!! Relax with the whole family at this beautiful cottage that was built in 1949 and was thoughtfully renovated in 2025. It is located close to Natural Bridge State Park (1/2 mile), the Virginia Safari park (5 miles), Lexington (14 miles), and many hiking trails. There are 2 bedrooms, one with a queen bed and the other 2 twin beds and a pull out couch. The kid's bedroom has books, blocks, puzzles and games. Come enjoy our beautiful home.
