Went with my wife and I and five kids. We had a perfect week of weather in September and after the first day on the beach, my kids were saying this was our best cottage ever! Looking out at our children on the beach from the big windows on the cottage, the place took on an almost magical quality. We had to drag our kids from the water every day. Lots of toys, games, life jackets, boats outside and fully stocked in the cottage. And the setting with all the islands out front is a classic Muskoka look, without all the business of that area. Kristina's cottage is the perfect balance of modern amenities and cottage charm. The wood stove is super cozy on cooler fall nights (when we were there) and the bright windows let in lots of light and an amazing view of the lake! I went with 5 other guests and we all found the beds to be super comfortable. Kristina was quick to reply to messages and check in was super easy. Location is beautiful and close enough to amenities. I would recommend this place to anyone and hope to return again with my family.

We had a great stay at Stella’s place! Everything was as described. Comfortable bed. Kitchen had everything we needed. Great location close to Bala and Gravenhurst. Any questions we had were answered promptly. Would stay here again!

We had an amazing stay at the Glenn Burney Lodge cabin. The space was really cozy, and we were greeted with a welcome drink!. The cabin’s location right by the lake was perfect—we loved being able to take a canoe out for a peaceful ride. It’s a great spot to relax and take in the beautiful scenery, also it is close to all the local attractions. We absolutely loved our time here!

Great spot off the beaten path when you need a little rest and relaxation. Great for kids, water activities and just chillin' on the deck!

If you like your cottage is surrounded by trees yet facing the peaceful lake, Nancy's place is the right one. It is located in a private road and the birds in the wood are greeting you here and there. The lake water is quite, safe, and clean, if you have young children, you will all enjoy and relax. Outdoor activities are as many as described in the post, you will find facilities don't just look nice, they are actually all in decent quality. The gazebo is the highlight of the backyard in Fall, sitting inside with a cup of coffee, colorful leaves and blue water all together make life a beautiful picture in front of your eyes. we just came back from Nancy's cottage, as you can tell, I love it, our family had great Thanksgiving long weekend there. we found everything needed for daily life, and if there was any inquiry, Nancy responded very quickly. overall, the cottage is better than it in the post, the house is so cozy and well decorated. We will go back next year.

My mom and I really enjoyed our stay at Andrew's cottage! The location is great and the cottage had everything we needed.

This location was a great spot. The bay was fairly quiet, and we saw wildlife daily (loons, foxes, hawks, frogs). Nice calm spot for paddling around in the canoe. The cottage was everything described, and good for a family vacation. Lots of places to eat inside and outside. Fully stocked kitchen and BBQ. Campfire pit for s'mores in the evenings. Shallow waterfront entry perfect for kids. The floating water mats were a huge hit with our children! Would definitely go back again.

We had a wonderful stay at WestWind Cottages! The Cottages were immaculately clean and well-maintained, with fully-equipped kitchens and comfortable bedrooms. We loved the private patio areas, perfect for relaxing with family and friends. Beeka and Chris were friendly, accommodating and excellent with communicating. Overall, our stay at WestWind Cottages was a relaxing and rejuvenating escape from the city. We can't wait to return and experience it again! (5/5 stars)

The location was perfect with stunning lake views and a peaceful atmosphere. The cottage itself was immaculate – cozy yet spacious, with all the modern amenities you could ask for, while still maintaining that charming, rustic feel. The hosts have ensured that you have fun activities for everyone staying at the place. There were Kayaks, Canoe and a motorboat, Firepit with ample firewood, Outdoor BBQ grill, Indoor games, Books, DVD player with lots of classic and popular movies and many more things. Shout out to the Super Hosts Wes and Jana for taking care of the place and guests with smallest requests. They were very responsive and would immediately come up for any help whenever needed, ensuring our stay was comfortable. They would even ask us if we needed anything from the market (like Milk, Coffee, etc) whenever they went out for their work. This was super sweet!! Highly recommend this place to anyone and would definitely love to visit back in the future!!

We had an incredible stay at Bob's beautiful cottage. The landscape and the cozy, quiet beach were truly amazing. We enjoyed canoeing and swimming immensely, and the kids had a blast playing in the water and on the beach. All ten of us had three fantastic days here. A special highlight was the kind neighbor who allowed our kids to use their water trampoline and Lily pad, creating wonderful memories for them. Highly recommended! Thank you Bob.

Jacob's cottage was every bit the island retreat we had been hoping for! This classic cottage with modern renovation is clean, comfortable and cozy. Waking up to the sunrise coming over the lake and shining through the windows at the foot of the bed was a simply magical experience! The outdoor dining area was a great feature that we really enjoyed using. We highly recommend this very special place!

Le cottage est juste incroyable. Les vues sont fantastiques du salon jusqu’au porche. Nous avons passé un bon moment en famille et le cottage a pas mal d’activités. Nous retenons le paysage magnifique ainsi que la belle balustrade.

We stayed at Esther’s cottage for four days. Esther was very responsive, making communication a breeze. The check-in process was seamless. The cottage is one of the best we've visited, with a lovely interior and plenty of sleeping space. Its proximity to town made it easy to pick up anything we needed. The backyard was our favorite spot, with breathtaking sunsets from the dock. Our kids loved the beach area, especially our six year old who enjoyed the beach toys and shallow water. The kayaks, including kid-sized ones, were a hit. We loved the water lily float, spending hours floating and jumping into the water. Evenings were perfect by the fire pit, roasting marshmallows, and fishing off the dock. Exploring the town was a treat. Don't miss Smoke Birds, Scopa Pizza, and Bala Bay Takeaway for halibut fish and chips. Our only regret is not booking more days. We had the best time making unforgettable memories and can't wait to return! Thank you, Esther, for being an amazing host!

Excellent cottage, well equipped, nice decor, very cozy and clean. You can enjoy the great view of French River. Definitely worth the money.

We had a great time! We were a group of 12 and had enough space to not feel crowded. The spot on the lake was spectacular and very quiet and peaceful. We had kayaks and a pedal boat. Wish there was a canoe or small motor boat to do a bit more fishing. Kids had a blast fishing from the dock and we did catch and release a bunch of small pan fish and a couple nice bass. Beautiful sunrises in the morning while sipping coffee on the dock and listening to the loon that swims around the lake. Was an overall great experience and plan on visiting again. 😀

Top notch listing. You will not be disappointed. Tons of space, very clean and everything works and is kept in perfect condition. You might even get Dave himself to show up and start your fire for you in the evening! Would definitely rent this cottage again.

We had a lovely stay with our family at this home. The host was super accommodating and we appreciated their communication. The lake and surroundings are beautiful. It was so nice waking to bird song and light breeze. The shared space, indoors and outdoors, is wonderful for a large group of adults. The hosts are generous re. fire wood, coffee, and watercraft use! Everyone slept comfortably in the various bedrooms.

Probably one of the best cottages I’ve ever stayed in. It was very well equipped, came with everything we needed for our stay and more. Place is beautiful also, hot tub was very nice. Very clean and well organized. Looking forward to staying there again!
