The first thing I noticed when we walked in was how clean the house was and how amazing it smelled! The house is just as pictured and very spacious. The beds and linens were clean and comfortable. We had 3 adults, two teens and a large yellow lab. So much space for all of us. The views were gorgeous. I watched the sunrise every morning from either the kitchen window, primary bedroom or the beach just a short walk away. The dog friendly beach was so great and everyone was so friendly. Maria and Mike went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. They were genuinely kind and thoughtful hosts. We enjoyed a much needed relaxing vacation here riding bikes, beach walks, shopping, and great family time in the house. The house provided everything we needed. It was nice to easily wash the dog off outside after beach trips. This was our first trip to the Outer Banks and we can’t wait to return! Thank you!

Great dog friendly rental in OBX! Having grass and a small fenced yard for late/early potty breaks was so convenient. Our dog relaxed right away on arrival, immediately getting a drink and dog biscuit from the provided bowls. What a rare treat to find a place so special for our four-legged family members. :-D Everything was very clean and comfortable and cozy. Loved reading in the sunroom. The house was stocked with more than we could possibly imagine needing in terms of food and supplies (so it's a bit cluttered and not a lot of space for your own items, but nothing you cannot work around). As others have said, definitely felt more like HOME than a rental and we truly appreciated that! Thanks for sharing your home and for a lovely getaway!

We loved the house! It was a perfect spot for myself, three children and our pup. Very clean, well-appointed and spacious. The pool and ping pong tables in the basement were a perfect downtime activity. The beach is very short stroll and the restaurants that we could walk to made the location even more ideal. We hope to return soon!

We loved our stay at Sunrise Surf on the southern Shores! The location was great. The house was even better than expected/than the pictures. Everything was well stocked and we really appreciated that. The heated pool and the hot tub were amazing for our spring break vacation. I would not hesitate to book this again!

Overall, we had a great stay. Having a gated deck was great with dogs. Beach access was awesome! Parking was clearly labeled and easy to park at. Laundry facility, outdoor shower, and grill were very convenient. The location was quiet (mid-April) given how close the cottages are to a lot of restaurants, shops, and attractions. Whitney was very responsive and helpful!

Nikki’s place was perfect for our group and dog. She has a great three bedroom two bath house that’s quiet with a great fenced in yard for the dog and an indoor and outdoor porch. Even though you have to bring linens and towels, the comfortable beds were covered with clean mattress pads and pillow covers which was a nice surprise. Rooms had easy to use shades. Very clean house, well stocked kitchen with a drip/keurig machine and coffee/k-cups. Bring your own sweetener. She did have 2 puzzles, and games and playing cards. Great location, walking distance to the shore (beach). Nikki was a great host, allowed for a flexible check in and was very responsive. She also has a stationary bike that you can use with your sneakers (no clips). Great place that we’d definitely rent again next time we visit the area.

I had a very enjoyable stay. The cottage was spotless, very clean, beds were comfortable, it was exactly how it is depicted and described. I needed a place to decompress after my dad’s funeral and this was just the place. I traveled with my German Shepherd and we were able to take long walks on the beach right across the street. The host was very responsive to any questions I had and communicated when the place was ready early. Would totally recommend.

Had a great time , steps from beach, the pool was super nice!!! Was offered hotdogs, cheeseburgers, and watermelon for 4th of July at no additional cost for everyone staying in cottages. AC worked great!!! It was record breaking heat and we where more than comfortable!!!

Ashley was a GREAT host, very responsive and a caring host. Provided high chair requested, allowed an earlier check-in to help accomodate special needs child and was very concern when access lock was having problems and responsive. Problem was pribably our mittle hands tiuching all the numbers. Pool was extremely clean and as described in pictures and notes. Had family of 17, 8 adults and 9 kids ranging in age from newborn to 13. Bedrooms were good size to accomodate and all suites having own bathroom was wonderful for 5 families.

We had a great time ! Lovely comfortable home. Beautiful heated pool enjoyed by grandchildren in April. We had everything we needed for a great spring break. Thank you !

What a great getaway! I brought two other moms. We had three children under 12 and the beaches are pristine. Home was exactly as described and very clean and it was just a lovely time. I highly recommend this unit and the location.

This was our first time here, and our daughter's 2nd time staying here. We had a lovely Easter weekend here; Home is super-clean, well appointed. Love the fenced-in back yard and enjoyed heated pool, Hot tub,Firepit making S'mores, and games. Short walk to beach, playground, and coffee shop. Grocery stores and "anything" we needed was very close-by! Thank You for keeping this home in such great condition!!

We enjoyed our vacation at this home very much. the description was accurate and the house very clean and well organized. We had to reach out to the host a few times and they were extremely responsive in a timely manner. The location of this house is awesome, grocery store and restaurants are just a short drive or walk. We enjoyed the 2nd story hot tub and the beach access was very convenient. The large recreational room on the 1st floor kept the kids entertained!! Overall, we had a fabulous week at this home and it was perfect for our large family.

Excellent location; could not get any closer to the beach! Well stocked kitchen, relaxing living room with great views. Sound of pounding surf and pelicans flying overhead was a memorable OBX experience! Will be back; Thankyou Andrew!

Lisa’s place was the perfect beach getaway for our family. We loved being able to walk to the beach easily, sit out on the patio, eat meals in. She had everything we needed to make our trip seamless.

We cannot thank Star & Austin enough for opening up their beautiful home! Very easy to find, close to restaurants, activities and the beach. The home was immaculate. We will stay here again in the future.

Cette maison est magnifique. Très grande et parfaite pour accueillir deux familles et des enfants. Grande cuisine TRÈS équipée. Nous avons manqué de rien, couvertures serviettes etc disponibles. Nous avons eu la chance de voir des chevaux sauvages directement dans la cour arrière. Vraiment agréable de faire la route dans le sable. On doit bien prévoir les repas/épicerie étant donné qu’il y a un bon 40 minutes de route ! L’hôte répond également rapidement. Nous avons adorés et recommandons sans hésiter.

Responsive even before I booked. As pictured. Accommodated 5 of us very comfortably. Friends stayed one half block up I liked our place much better!

We had a great stay here. The location was perfect. Easy walk to the beach and a fun little “neighborhood” to walk around in. Being along a small body of water was so nice and we enjoyed watching the sun set over it. John was very responsive to the two questions I had while we were there, so I got my answers quickly. We’ll definitely book with him again if we are back in the area!

Like the description, it is a peaceful paradise! Outside has beautiful sunrise, and amazing open water views. We took great photos just form the front yard. Inside has artistic decorations. It is truly a unique property. The three-night stay is just too short for us to enjoy all the amenities and to have enough time to talk with Alan and Nora. Will come back again!

Very nice and clean 4 br 2.5 ba house. Kitchen fully equipped and all supplies readily at hand. We had 4 kids under 9 and 6 adults, so the deck was useful to give the kids room to play safely. I think the price was a tad high, but the availability was crucial. Staci was responsive to an important question on check-in day. Beach access was easy with a short 2 house walk. Beach-buggy for lugging sand toys and chairs was crucial. I hope to be back in the future!

Absolutely perfect for what we needed - cozy weekend getaway right on the beach. Really ideal location in Nags Head, felt private but also close to great restaurants, grocery stores, and activities. Would stay here again!
