The Haven on The Virginia Creeper Trail

Located on the Virginia Creeper bike trail, we are only a 20 min. drive from the summit of beautiful Whitetop Mtn. If hiking and biking are your thing, this is the place to stay, as we are 3 miles from the Appalachian Trail, and a 20 min. drive to Grayson Highlands state park. Downtown Damascus is a 25 min. drive, and Abingdon is 40 minutes. Both towns have cute shops, restaurants, coffee, parks, and antique stores. Bristol is located approx. 50 min. from our home, and Boone, NC about an hour.

NO CLEANING FEES. NO TO DO LISTS BEFORE CHECKING OUT. NO PET FEES. Cozy, private one room cottage (with bathroom), run by a loving, easy-going, non-judging family. Cottage measures 12' x 24' (total of 288sq. feet). Very relaxed environment. Flat rate of $50.00. UPDATE: Deck is now enclosed with old window panes. Super cozy. Has a sink with hot/old water, a hot plate, large toaster oven, and utensils. I am am still putting finishing touches on it, but available for use. Pictures soon.

Located less than 10 minutes drive to Damascus and the famous Virginia Creeper Trail! If you love hiking, three additional trails: Laurel Creek, Gentry Creek Falls, and the Appalachian trail are all within a few miles of our lovely home. Grayson Highlands State Park, Mt. Rogers Recreational Area, Backbone Rock, Abingdon VA, and Boone, NC all make easy day trips. *Note: the Creeper Trail from WhiteTop to Damascus was destroyed by hurricane Helen. The 2nd half, from Damascus to Abingdon is open.

The River House is a quiet two story farm house that sits on the South Fork of the Holston River. It is halfway between the trail town of Damascus and historic Abingdon. Enjoy the relaxing wrap around porch where you can hear and see the sights of the river. A short walk from the driveway is the Virginia Creeper Trail, the perfect place to hike, bike, or just walk with family. Fish along the bank of the river or take a short trip to the town of Abingdon to visit the Barter Theatre.

She's ON the Creeper Trail with all the amenities of a full-size home, but in a smaller package: hot+cold water; electricity; full kitchen with compact fridge; HEAT; A/C; +a cute little bathroom with toilet+shower. Perfect for 2 people (over 12 years old+under 6 feet tall). *No pets, please. Two parking spaces (one behind the other). NO CLEANING FEE.
