The Schoolmaster’s House

Situated in a village on the Wye Valley Walk, close to the Elan Valley, there are plenty of walking and cycling routes on the doorstep as well as pony trekking and water sport options nearby. Please note: bath only and no bedding provided ** because it is an old house, to improve our guest’s experience, we have changed policy to ensure that if there is a gap of more than a week between guests a clean will be done just before your stay to ensure the house is aired and cobweb free as possible **

St Mark's School

Relax and unwind in this beautiful converted 1880s school. Plenty of original school features are still on display. Situated 15mins drive from the royal Welsh show ground in Builth, 15mins from Rhayader and the Elan Valley, 15mins from Spa town Llandrindod wells, just over an hour to Aberystwyth and west coast beaches, it is the ideal location! The house sits on the edge of a forestry leading up a hill with stunning views and lots of dog friendly walks/bike rides. Ideal for fishing in the Wye!

A recently converted oak framed studio with a modern finish. Situated in the heart of Wales, close to neighbouring towns and only a few miles from the Elan Valley, only a couple of miles from the Red Kite centre. Within easy reach of Rhayader, Builth wells and Llandrindod Wells. There is plenty to explore in this beautiful part of Wales. Only a 10 minute drive from the Showground in Llanelwedd. There is plenty of room to park on our private drive and the property is located up a private road.

With its own garden, this former shepherd's cottage is surrounded by rugged hills and an unspoilt rural landscape at the very end of a single-track road.

Bryn Derw annexe is a beautiful studio with stunning views over the Severn Valley, with a large south-facing patio. We have numerous walks on our doorstep, a 3 minute stroll to the River Severn and are a stone's throw from Llandinam Gravels Nature Reserve. We are also approximately 1 mile away from Plas Dinam Country House. It has a fully equipped kitchen, king size bed and large comfortable chairs - perfect for a short break or longer holiday. Located a short walk to the train station, pubs, shops, cafe and lake. Our guest suite is a studio style living area with private bathroom and entrance. We'll provide milk, and a selection of teas & coffees. Dog blankets and towels are in a basket should you need them, please don’t worry about getting them dirty!

Dolfan Barn Studio is so named because an artist once worked here, prior to that it was a cow byre. Just under a mile out of the village of Beulah the Studio is a perfect place to unwind. You will find plenty of wildlife to watch from the patio including Pheasants Squirrels and Red Kites. The village has a service station, shop and "The Trout Cafe" serving good home cooked food. Freesat T.V and Wifi If you wish to stay connected to the outside world or peace and quiet if not.

Irfon Cottage, Penrheol Farm

Irfon cottage sleeps two guests with its cosy open plan layout. The bedroom has a super king bed which can also be arranged as twin beds by request. The bathroom has a shower. The fitted kitchen is well equipped with the living area comfortably furnished. You are welcome to bring up to one dog please include this on booking, we ask that pets are not allowed in the bedroom and if they do go on the sofa, blankets are provided. There is an EV charger.

The Shed, Galedrhyd, Elan Valley

The location of The Shed, Galedrhyd is truly unique. Step outside the door and you have walking access to 70 sq. miles of the stunning Elan Valley Estate and beyond. The Elan Valley is a Site of Special Scientific Interest and therefore the lakes and countryside are protected and provide a sanctary for an abundance of wildlife and nature. The valley also has International Dark Sky Status. This is all available to you without using your car!
