You’ll be within walking distance to kayak/tubing rentals, so you can head straight from the cabin to the water. Nearby trail entrances for UTV and snowmobile rides. The cabin features a spacious yard, two fire pits for evening gatherings, and a fully remodeled kitchen.

View multitudes of "flora and fauna" along with the fainting goats, chickens, rabbits & other critters of "The Farm". Go for a canoe or kayak trip and try your luck at catch & release fishing. Our subdivision is ideally situated among thousands of acres of public land near the beautiful Au Sable River. The neighborhood is quiet, peaceful, and full of nature. Come and enjoy all this beautiful area has to offer, including hunting, fishing, hiking, skiing, trail riding, kayaking, tubing, canoeing, etc. A boat launch for the Au Sable River, an ORV trailhead and DJs Scenic Bar are within a mile of the cabin (in McKinley). Hiking and skiing trails are 10-15 minutes from the cabin.

Sit on the screened porch with its built-in grill, or relax and enjoy a campfire as the stars twinkle above. Wood for your first fire is provided with additional wood available. Walking distance of canoe rental, restaurants & the beach, you will surely create great memories here!

Unique Woods Retreat ~ Quiet place in Nature

Our cabin in the woods is a quiet refuge, not a party place. Built with many unique features: log cabin room with vaulted ceiling, log walls in kitchenette/upstairs small dinette seating area and log wall in sunroom. Carriage style Barn doors, from grandparents old chicken coop. The metal stair railing designed & laser cut with pine trees. Downstairs walkout basement has concrete log beams & posts, as well as some concrete tree branches. Trails are for quiet travel only, no motors.

Take it easy, deprogram at this unique and tranquil getaway. Watch the morning sunrise on the deck. Comfortable living room with a wood fireplace. Relax at the fire pit overlooking Floyd Lake. Kayaks available. 3 bedrooms, 4 beds and futon. Hit the Sand Lake Trail head for off-road ORV use 5 mins away. Kayaking and tubbing trips on Au Sable River nearby. A fifteen-minute drive to the beautiful Lake Huron beaches, restaurants, bars and shopping in East Tawas overlooking Lake Huron.

Welcome to Barefoot Beach Resort – right on the best beach of Lake Huron! Cabin 8 is our cozy one-bedroom cabin, but it feels roomy with a big kitchen and living area. The front patio has a screen door and a clear view of the lake—just a short walk to the beach. Inside: a comfy queen bed, a new pullout couch, and a fun (but practical) bathroom. Perfect for couples or small families who want to relax, cook, and enjoy the lake. Note: Pet fee is not included in the total.

Papa's place is a cozy 2 bedroom, 1 bath cabin that over looks Tawas Lake, great for fishing, kayaking & bird watching. The cabin features a fully stocked kitchen, open living space with a 50" smart TV and wood stove for those cool spring & fall nights. The quaint town of East Tawas is only minutes away that offers wonderful shops & restaurants. Tawas beach (Lake Huron) is less than 2 miles away. Come for a night or stay the week on Michigan’s sunrise side.
