Perfect for a weekend getaway! Sitting on the dock listening to the birds in the evening, and again in the morning with my coffee was so relaxing. Peaceful, private, and comfortable. The house had everything I needed. Chickens were a fun bonus. Can’t wait to come back again!

Had a great stay ! Would definitely stay again if the time comes for us to go back .

We had a wonderful long weekend away. The views were amazing. The home is well equipped. We had a lot of fun exploring the area, hiking on trails, banks of the Chesapeake and taking out the kayaks. It was a very relaxing and much needed getaway!

I stayed at Meg's beautiful home with my bridesmaids for my wedding weekend in Deltaville, and it was absolutely perfect! The house is spacious, clean, and well-organized, which made it a comfortable and relaxing place to stay during such a special time. Meg was so kind and responsive, providing helpful local recommendations and detailed instructions for the house. She truly went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable, and her hospitality made my wedding weekend even better. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience—thank you, Meg!

This house is perfect for large groups. It is very spacious, with plenty of room to spread out and get comfortable. We enjoyed sitting on the dock taking in the serene natural beauty of the Creek and observing the local birdlife, including Kingfishers, Great Blue Herons, and Bald Eagles. The house is situated very near to the entrance of Lookout Point State Park which we greatly enjoyed exploring on bicycles. Seeing a large wedge of Tundra Swans fly overhead was a special moment. If you want to spend some time relaxing in a beautiful setting in a beautiful and very interesting area with a large group, this house will serve you well.

We loved this snug, little spot on the water. Watching the sunrise over the water made for enjoyable mornings. It had a full kitchen that made cooking our meals very easy. Two seating areas in the living area gave us room to spread out. Fast wifi....I even stayed online while I was down by the water. I wasn't a huge fan of the overly curious swans, but I did find some really nice pieces of sea glass down by the water. The heat in this house was great.

We had a great time at Nicholas and Dana's place! It was both fun and relaxing. We really enjoyed the little beach, the dock and the kayaks. We caught some catfish and one tiny crab in the crab trap (and threw everything back in). It was nice to have the firepit and hot tub to use too. And, the kids really liked being downstairs in their own space. The only issues were that the key pad wasn't working to get in to the front door which was frustrating after a long drive and the grill was very slow to heat up and probably needs to be replaced. Overall, this home was a really good choice for us and we would stay again when visiting family in the area.

Wonderful little A frame beach cabin feel. Timothy is very helpful and responsive. We did the dogfish dash and was the perfect little place to stay the night before our run. There is only 1 bathroom which wasn’t ideal in the morning for 4 people, but everything else is amazing!! Highly recommend :)

Joyce has done a phenomenal job with this lake house. Everything has been thought through. The house actually looks even better than the pictures. You can tell a lot of thought went into the decor. And it is super clean. The kitchen is fully stacked with everything you would need ant home or away. Ample seasoned fire wood and starter sticks makes using their MASSIVE fire pit a breeze. The best part is she gives you access to both of their docks and you will not have to take your boat or kayak out of the water once. We kayak fished Johnson’s and Lacey’s with ease from her house. 100% coming back to stay again.

As serene as it gets (except Wednesday is the mowing day, but didn’t bother us). Renee is super responsive, which helped a lot. The place is clean and very relaxing, it is remote though, any big city you want to drive to is 1.5-2hr drive. Had fun fishing from the dock, so many catfish there, anyone can catch. Friendly neighbors. Water is on the soft side. Fridge and cupboard had spices and condiments, and a water filter, which was a big plus. Pots and pans need replacing, that’s probably the only negative. Would come back in a heartbeat. Thanks Renee and Ed!

We loved our stay at Janet’s place! She was incredibly easy to communicate with, and the house was absolutely perfect—comfortable, clean, and well-appointed. We especially enjoyed being nestled into Ewell, with convenient access to the water, shops, food, and golf cart rentals. It made for a truly relaxing and memorable getaway.

This was our second stay with Bob and Lolly in Tall Timbers, and it did not disappoint! Immersed in books and history, this quaint cottage was the perfect getaway. We are looking forward to our next visit!

This small cottage had what I was looking for in a quiet retreat for a long weekend. I particularly enjoyed the sun room, deck and views of the river. Lots of birds to listen to all day long and stars to view at night. Great river access and I appreciated the kayaks, I highly recommend taking one out on a calm morning! The only drawback was needing to drive a ways to get food or groceries, but Linda did mention that beforehand so good to plan ahead.

Mallard Cottage was spotless, decorated beautifully, and the kitchen was well stocked with very nice cookware, dishes, and flatware. The beds were super comfy, and all of the furniture, indoors and outside, made all of the spaces a great place to relax. The gated deck that runs the length of the front of the cottage allowed our border collie to be both active and contained. The views from the cottage are spectacular. We watched eagles fishing for hours. Westmoreland State Park is a short distance away, where the easy walking trails and Fossil Beach provided nice little outings. And, although we did out best to catch them, in the end we only fed the crabs. :-) We can't recommend this little cottage highly enough. We would love to stay there again.

The views of the Bay, dock, and kayaks were incredible. The kitchen and family room had a great vibe, it felt like we were at the Bay!

This place could not be more perfect for our trip to DC. It was the perfect distance to the metro. Our group of 8 had so much space of our own, yet plenty of room to be together in the common spaces and not be on top of each other! We went in the coldest month of the year, so unfortunately we didn’t get to experience the best of what the outdoor areas had to offer but the views were breathtaking regardless. Melanie’s place was extremely clean and everything was provided and then some! Everyone in our group would like to go back in warmer months to spend more time outside. Before we got there, Melanie explained that there was an issue with one of the sinks in the cabins and said she would credit us accordingly. I thought that was great! It did not hinder or create a problem whatsoever! I hope we get to make it back sometime!

I am running a program out of this home all year long and we have 4 retreats at the property which I'll write a review for each time we stay. We got to experience the season of winter in January complete with a beautiful snowfall the last day of our trip. This time, we got to experience the spring...the season of rebirth. I am grateful for everything the home and land provided to us during this last experience. The home feels like our home while we are there and it has everything we need. Thank you so much!

Great place to stay for rest, relaxation, peace and quiet. In my short time there, I saw a wild turkey, a fox, an otter, red wing black birds, a woodpecker, and cardinals. And at night, I heard tree frogs and an owl was really close by. Terri is wonderful as a host!

This is a perfect relaxing getaway and exactly what we needed! Honestly the house is even nicer in person than the photos with the high ceilings and windows everywhere. I’m not sure if I would go with a group to the house since the loft seems a bit tricky, but we loved it just the two of us! Devin was very proactive and gave us all the instructions needed. The outdoor area is beautiful looking over the water and we had a great breakfast at their recommended boomerangs. The house itself is very private, but you’re still so close to anything you need. It rained the last night but I even loved the rain on all the skylights. Being a heavy sunlight person, this was perfect for me, but if you like to close off the world and keep things dark, maybe look somewhere else. Thank you for everything, I just wish we could have stayed longer!!

Wow, what a gem! This house is as lovely as it looks and is the perfect weekend getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life. Exactly what our family needed! Our two young daughters took the upstairs bedroom and it was the perfect space for them, especially with the TV and comfy couch right outside their room. The view was beautiful, and so serene, even on the rainy day that we had while there. Kitchen is fully stocked with cookware and spices and a Brita. Fridge had ample space for food for a long weekend but it's narrow so heads up if you plan to put a frozen pizza in the freezer. 😂 There was so much to do within a 20-30 minute drive. Annmaire Gardens, breweries, state parks. It's ideally located. Flag Ponds is a 5 minute drive! Hosts were incredibly helpful and responsive. We can't say enough positive things and we also can't wait to go back! Thank you!

The cabin was beautiful, peaceful and a great place to get away to. We enjoyed all of its amenities and its relaxing environment. Our kids loved the game room, hot tub and private dock. Julie is a wonderful host who has really made a great place to visit! Thank you!

If you’re looking for a getaway in a tranquil setting this is perfect. Great for lovers of the water too. A few museums, country stores/markets and seafood vendors nearby. If you venture further you’ll bump into some boutique shopping.
