Lake is now at full pool and ready for swimming, kayaking, and fishing through the end of July and a bit beyond! The annual drawdown starts usually in late July, so if you are reserving for fall or winter, please inquire as to the Lake level. The treehouse has an open concept living area with a queen bed, claw foot tub and equipped kitchenette, with countertop oven/toaster, microwave, coffee pot, electric skillet, refrigerator and sink. It accommodates two adults, no children or pets. Two night minimum stay, no exceptions.

My place is close to Grambling State University. You’ll love my place because of the comfy bed, the kitchen, and the coziness. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers. Our apartment is located above a restaurant so it requires that you climb stairs and unfortunately it is not wheel chair accessible. We keep our place reasonably priced to attract folks that understand the value of a cozy home versus a hotel in the area.

The Blue House on Cross Lake

This cottage was built circa 1926 on Cross Lake as the home for Lonnie Erwin who owned a catfish restaurant next to his home. Back in the day it was popular to drive up from Shreveport if they caught enough catfish to serve. The restaurant closed in the mid 1940s and it and the cottage fell into disrepair. We renovated the cottage and restaurant (also on Airbnb as The Red House on Cross Lake) and brought them up to date.
