WHISTLER VINEYARD RETREAT

Set on 80acres in the heart of the Barossa Valley this private, self-contained guest wing is surrounded by vineyard and gardens. Our retreat gets you back to nature... with vineyard and scrub walks, (accompanied by at least one of our Border Collies), friendly geese, an inquisitive free-roaming peacock, hens, rescued & wild kangaroos, the occasional Koala and a myriad of birdlife. Creature Comforts is on the outskirts of the beautiful town of Auburn, in the Clare and Gilbert Valley. Nestled between Vineyards and farm land it is a relaxing haven with beautiful views from the back deck. The property is close to The Riesling and Rattler Trails. Children under 12 years old not accepted at the property. Dog friendly if guests pet is host approved. Bookings taken from guests staying, not third party. Indoor wood fire is only to be used 1st May to Oct 31st, if needed.

Stables by the Vines

In 1856, an English stonemason, Thompson Priest, began mining slate in Mintaro. At the same time, he built a home with stables at the rear of his property. Over the intervening years, the stables fell into a desperate state, however, recently, the Stable has returned to life through a sensitive restoration and refurbishment. Set on the edge of Reillys Winery, the Stable is a 100m walk through the vines to the cellar door and further 20 metres to the renowned Magpie Stump Hotel.
