Cozy Desert Escape in Joshua Tree

Reconnect with nature in this guesthouse where natural light accentuates the eclectic decor of agave-inspired colors and upscale furnishing. Spend time in the garden with views of Joshua trees and mountains with stars above the fire pit at night. A wonderful back yard with a fire pit (please bring your own wood) and horse shoes is available for use, and a private entrance is provided for the guests. The rented space includes a stand alone studio apartment with a private entrance, access to the back yard grill, fire pit, and horse shoe pit. This is a stand alone private studio apartment directly behind the owner's home. The owner will be available to assist you with any issues you may have during your stay. The home is in a quiet neighborhood away from busy streets. Restaurants and shops are nearby and it is only a 10-minute drive to the entrance of Joshua Tree National Park. Hike in the afternoon and enjoy seeing the Milky Way from the front porch. This awesome venue is located only 10 minutes from the entrance to Joshua Tree National Park. There is only one stop light between the venue and a super Wal-Mart or Home Depot. A short 5 minute drive will get you to the Crossroads cafe for some outstanding hamburgers. This space is owned and maintained by a local rock climber guide; if you are interested in a rock climbing adventure during your stay, please let the owner know! The apartment is outfitted with a pellet burning stove as the main heat source. If more than two guests wish to stay, there is an additional floor air mattress available. An additional charge of $15 per person per night will be made for additional guests (more than 2).

The Cabin at Painted Canyon Homestead This serene cabin is situated at the mouth of a canyon overlooking Morongo Valley, where the high desert meets the San Gorgonio & San Jacinto Mountains. As the guest house on our property of 5 acres, the cabin is privately located bordering vast public lands. Wander the property, hike the canyon trail, or take in the changing light from the wood-fired hot tub (or use it with fresh cold water!). Perfectly suited for two with plenty of extra space to explore.

Nested on the Southern hillside overlooking the valley, you’ll rise to a colored sky while you drink your morning coffee in the pergola with a mountain view and take a stroll on one of the nearby trails in peace and quiet. Then take a less than 5 minute drive to one of the MANY neighborly boutiques and cafés in the old town of Yucca Valley. Mosey back to the house to catch the sherbet sunset as you make that desert fire in our fire-pit. There’s your perfect day in the contemporary cowboy Casita.

We have a beautiful outdoor fireplace and hot tub that seats 4 people and is exclusively for our casita guests. Incredible star gazing in this quiet section of Joshua Tree. Only 10 minutes to the park and local restaurants and stores.

Come get grounded in Joshua Tree. Relax and take in the view. Watch the resident quail from your window first thing in the morning, a half hour before sunrise. View the sunrise as the sun pops up from the park mountains to the east. Have breakfast cooked on your retro all-in-one sink/refrigerator/stove. Head to the park for some hiking. Catch the sunset in the park or from your front window if you've had a long day and just need to relax. then enjoy the stars from the back yard.

The space comes with fast Wifi, a smart TV with streaming services included, and a fully stocked kitchenette for you to enjoy a comfortable high desert escape.

Our guest home is located behind the main house in the beautiful neighborhood of Western Hills Estates, we are located near Joshua Tree National Park and Pioneer Town. Our guest home is fully furnished to make your stay comfortable, including a kitchenette with mini fridge, hot plate, and microwave. Enjoy the amazing sunrise, sunsets and views over Yucca Valley and Joshua Tree from this hill top retreat. Please note we do allow dogs with an extra $30 fee.

Coyote Casita on Five Acres

Kick back and relax in this calm, stylish space. Between the 2 entrances to Joshua Tree National Park, it is an easy drive to see the park. 5 minutes to downtown Joshua Tree. In the country so there is excellent star gazing. The casita is 70 feet from the main house, so far enough for privacy, close enough for safety. Dog friendly with a fully fenced yard for your fur friend to keep them safe from the ever present coyotes.
