There is no water or electricity but you can have a small fire if conditions allow. Yes, portajohn. You can drive your car to the site which is in a field. Check in /out noon Quiet, respectful and law abiding folks only! We know people need some fresh air, leg stretching, stars,connecting to nature & change of scenery.

We built a studio-house on the foundation of an old summer cottage. We did not expand the footprint, but furnished it with select pieces and appliances and gave it contemporary finishes. We also added a screened porch, open deck and stone patio. The woodland and mountain views are lovely, while the location is convenient to Lake Minnewaska State Park and the Mohonk Preserve. Ulster County levies a 4% tax on overnight stays. Payment is made anytime between confirmation and arrival.

Shawangunk House

The house was built in 2018. It is very modern and open. It is located 8 minutes from Minnewaska State Park, 10 minutes from the Mohonk Preserve, and 30 minutes from the Catskills. There is a Smart TV. There is also a record player with a large record selection. There is strong WIFI and great cell phone coverage from all carriers. We have an EV level 2 charger.
