Surrounded by fields, yet close to Leominster and Ludlow and within easy reach of Hay on Wye, it is the perfect base to explore from. Discover pretty villages, walk in the hills, treasure hunt in the antique shops or just relax by the woodburner!

A characterful and lovingly converted 18th century cider makers cottage in the heart of the Herefordshire countryside. The interior is welcoming, cosy and unique. A mix of modern and quirky. Only 7.5 miles from the historic city of Hereford and the market town of Ledbury. An idyllic countryside retreat. Perfect for foodies, walkers, cyclists or a bolthole for getting away from it all. We are only 1.5 hours from Birmingham and Bristol airports and 2 3/4 hours drive from London Heathrow.

Ideal base for exploring the Wye Valley, Brecon Beacons National Park, and the Black Mountains.

This beautiful 1531 Tudor barn conversion has nearby amenities including a village pub, books, post office, shop and park all within walking distance. Nearby local towns include Kington-5 miles, Hay-on-Wye-7 (m) Hereford-15 (m) Ideal for friends, couples or a family stay.

Lower Green has been a working cattle farm for three generations. Glyn was born here, the youngest of seven siblings. We opened Orchard View 14th century cottage to guests because we wanted people to experience what we experience every day, the peace, the dark skies, the particular stillness .The spring water still runs cold and clean. The owls are still in the oak trees. The fields still look the way they did when the drovers passed through. We've tried to change as little as possible."

Countryside retreat

My Husband and I moved to Herefordshire in late 2019 and we love it here. The property is surrounded by farming countryside and yet is just a few minutes in to Leominster & with easy access to beautiful towns all around. A fully self-contained 2 bedroom cottage which is attached to the main house. A fantastic place from which to explore. We are just off the old Hereford Road with plenty of parking. Cows and sheep roam the fields around us, and there are cowsheds behind us for Winter use.

Beautiful Cottage with Suntrap Garden

The cottage is located just out of the centre of Hay opposite the beautiful St Mary's Church. It is slightly quieter here than in the heart of the town but is still only a 5 minute walk into the centre. It is very easy to access the river walks, simply taking the path to the right of the church. The cottage is full of character with wooden beams, a wood-burning stove, the original fireplace in the bedroom, wooden flooring throughout the downstairs, and a beautiful south-facing garden.

Oak beams and wooden floors frame a simple whitewashed open plan space which offers: a sleeping area on the mezzanine with one double floor-level bed and up to two single futons; on the ground floor, a wet-room and the kitchen-eating-living area with Clearview wood-burning stove. Located at the foot of The Offa's Dyke Path and only a 5 minute walk to shops, pubs, park with river access. Wireless. Off road parking. Well behaved dogs welcome. Can accommodate 2 adults and up to 2 children.

Stable is a cosy dog-friendly character cottage with an open-plan living space and an upstairs king double bedroom with ensuite shower room. Stable is one of a five cottage barn conversion adjacent to the host's home set amidst the beautiful Shropshire Hills and border Marches; on the edge of the Downton Estate and Mortimer Forest; with walks/cycling from the doorstep - this cottage is an ideal base for exploring the local area, further afield, or simply relaxing in our courtyard.

Set within 28 acres of breathtaking Radnor hills, feel free to explore this beautiful setting and the nearby King Offa trail. Presteigne is only five mins drive away and home to a host of wonderful antiques shops, an excellent deli, grocery store and restaurants * Please note the bathroom is on the ground floor*

A 17th-century farm cottage at the end of a country lane shared only with the owner's house (adjacent), enjoying restful quiet with a private drive and garden giving on to stunning views of the Bannau Brycheiniog. Located just 3 miles from the book-lover's haven of Hay-on-Wye, famous for its literary festivals and easygoing charm, it is the perfect place to escape to.

This isolated retreat is in an exceptionally beautiful part of rural England that grazes the Welsh borders and yet is a stones throw from cultural, Hay on Wye. Traditional Otter Cottage is nestled on our secluded organic farm. Relax in your garden, enjoy views of the sparkling stream, snuggle up by a crackling log fire, wander to the pub for dinner or ramble the majestic Black Mountains! From the window you might see Kites, Fox, Kingfisher, deer and Otters.
